Does EHL require preliminary work experience in the hospitality industry?
If you are applying for the Bachelor of Science degree programme, you are not required to have preliminary work experience in the hospitality field. The Preparatory Year, which is followed partly at EHL itself and partly as an industry internship, is designed to give you this experience in a way that will ensure optimum results for your future studies. However, we strongly advise you to gain some experience of working in a hospitality enterprise, particularly at operational level, before applying to EHL. This experience is important in order for you to find out what hospitality is really all about and to test yourself and your motivation. In addition, any professional experience will serve you well during the EHL selection interview, where you will have a real advantage in answering questions concerning your choice of career.
