Does Edinburgh University have any ethical policies regarding procurement?
The University of Edinburgh’s procurement strategy (updated 2004) has a vision of “Working together to develop and promote efficient and effective procurement practices and procedures throughout higher education taking into account social, ethical and environmental issues.” It also has its reputation to uphold as Scotland’s first Fairtrade University as well as its Socially Responsible Investment Policy, of which staff and students are extremely proud.
