Does ecosystem have an important animal?
Ninety nine percent of animals when removed from an ecosystem, will have a dramatic effect on it, so all are important. Often the smallest thing in an ecosystem is the most important. In oceans, most life comes from plankton- animals eat plankton, other animals eat them etc, so if plankton, and other tiny things down their, became extinct, practically every living thing in the ocean would starve.
