No. Rich (good source) carbohydrates will help you loose weight and not gain weight. Why? It is because this food group is rich in fiber, which cleanse our body fast because toxins and fats will be delivered by this high fibrous foods (together with water) into our intestines as wastes. Then why people have false belief that carbohydrates makes us fat? Half false, half true. Why half false? Again, carbohyrates is our main source of energy (fuel) hence it is essential in our diet. Without carbohydrates, the body cannot work well to perform physical activities especially extrenuous one like jogging, running, heavy lifting, etc. Half true, because, again, not all sources of carbohydrates in our body are good to us. Why? They are types of food that instead of making us healthy, they do make us ill in the long run.
