Does each department/unit have to set up a new committee to examine minimal risk non-funded research proposals?
No. Each unit can decide how they wish to proceed. The simplest approach is to use an already existent committee. Curriculum or Undergraduate Committees are well suited to this role. Alternatively, if a unit is willing, the Chair and the Representative on the FFA Research Committee can review projects together.
