Does DXS collect any information from the Patient Records?
DXS is unable to collect any patient data from the clinical systems which we are integrated with. What we are able to record is the usage of the various content which we provide free of charge to our users. However, this is recorded in an anonymous format and reported to our content providers as aggregated usage of their content. In other words, we do not report usage of the content by GP but, as an example, would rather report that a total of 100 Asthma leaflets were printed and 300 Travel Advice leaflets were viewed across the entire user base in the UK in one month. DXS does not gather any prescribing data. We have over 12 000 users in the UK (as of at March 2005), and we give our every assurance that we will continue to respect each and every one of our user’s privacy. On a positive note, we are able to get a good idea of what is used, and what is useful, in the system and what is not utilised. This is very important, as it enables us to focus on areas which need improvement. We pr
