Does Duramaximizer sense the Allison transmission slipping and reduce power?

No. While other competitor’s products may make that claim, it is very unlikely that they do so. The Allison transmission and the engine PCM are completely separate units. The engine PCM does not monitor the transmission ECU for slippage. If the transmission ECU does detect slippage, it will send only a trouble code to the engine PCM, which will then act to reduce power. So what other competitors claim their units do is already a natural function built into the truck from the factory.
