Does DTM for iSeries allow documents to be emailed?
Yes. There are several ways of emailing documents generated by DTM for iSeries. If the shell document contains the ‘Set Email Parameters’ instruction, specific email information like email addresses (to, cc and bcc) and the message subject will be retrieved/generated during the merge and stored inside the resulting document. Afterwards, one option is to use the EXPDTMDOC command to export a document to XML and then do some postprocessing to reformat the document and hand it over to your email server. Another option is to use the RSLDTMDOC command to resolve a document into Lotus Notes and use the built-in capabilities of the Lotus Domino server to email documents.
