Does drivers license suspension from child support make any sense!?!?!?
Unfortunately I am an expert on this subject! The drivers licence suspension is a bad idea and gives government too much control over individual liberties and makes a bad situation worse. I understand that it was a tool created to make it difficult for a parent not willing to pay child support to cause them to concede and agree to give control of thier lives and jobs to the government. It has the unfortunate consequence of making the individual angry and more resentful of the government and of the ex spousal relationship and in many cases can cause the person to withdraw farther and become less a part of society and less compliant and even enraged. They become part of an underground workforce and continue to drive at risk with a suspended licence. It has unintended consequences on good people working hard that are struggling to try and make ends meet and it opens a door to a pandoras box of cause and effect.
