The Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback has been less prone to run this season, but still accounted for 24% of the team’s rushing yards. That’s a problem. Some are calling for rookie Correll Buckhalter to unseat starting tailback Duce Staley, who hasn’t had a 100-yard outing in six games, during which he’s averaged 2.6 yards per rush and 40.8 per game. Staley, who missed much of the 2000 season with a foot injury, has had trouble getting outside. McNabb can beat a defense with his arm or legs, but it’s always better when the legwork in the running game is handled by the backs. Will Brett Favre take any more dives?
