Does donating plasma hurt and take a long time??
I tried to donate plasma once. They had people laying in beds, watching television, because it took a while. I want to say it took an hour, but it might be a little less than that. They use a bigger needle than when get your blood drawn at the doctor’s office. They said it was about the same size as the tip of an ink pen. I never got to find out how much it hurt, though. They wouldn’t take my plasma because they said my veins were too small, and they might rupture when they stuck the needle in. I was kind of glad I couldn’t do it.
