Does docking a dogs tail affect its behavior?

0

Nope. Not the slightest effect. All docking is is removing part of the tail. The dog will be only a few days old when it’s done, and won’t remember the incident after a few hours. Docked dogs don’t even notice. The wag what tail remains just like any other dog, they bounce, they play. They are the same dog. Many people think cropping and docking are “cruel” and purely cosmetic. This is all crap. The dog doesn’t care and doesn’t remember after a short period of time. The dog feels no pain if the procedure is done by a licensed and qualified vet. At one point or another, all of the breeds that are cropped and/or docked had a legitimate working purpose for this to be done. Many dogs still perform the jobs and need these alterations. Again, the dog doesn’t care, as long as you love him the same at the end of the day.
