Neustar’s signing of the .US TLD zone will not impact or interfere with the signing of the root zone. With a signed .US TLD, the introduction of a signed root zone will be a seamless transition that will not require any incremental development work by registrars and registrants who support and utilize DNSSEC in .US prior to the root zone signing.
