Does Divide and Conquer require that students complete a pre-test?
Students rushing to master a subject may wish to begin getting assistance immediately, and we will waive our evaluative session upon request. However, Divide and Conquer strongly recommends an initial evaluation of student strengths and weaknesses. We do not use a standardized test to accomplish this, which often creates unnecessary anxiety in students, who equate tests with embarrassment and inadequacy. Rather, we personally evaluate each student much as an optometrist determines a patients optical prescription, by presenting material, observing the students familiarity with the concepts, and repeating the process to progressively hone in on the students current grasp of the material.
