Questions about the debt problems of disgraced Ex-England captain John Terry emerged over the weekend, following revelations that the footballer’s mortgage on his Surrey mansion is almost double the value of the property than when he bought it. The Chelsea captain purchased the Oxshott property in July 2003 for around £2.25 million pounds, but Terry took out a mortgage on the property last year to the value of £3.95 million. Experts have raised eyebrows at the “unusual” financal move, as someone who earns in excess of £170,000 per week should be in a more stable financial position.
