Does Dining Services accept debit cards?
Yes, but the transaction must be run as credit. No entering a PIN, no cash back. The reason we do not run “debit” transactions is that banks process them immediately, making it impossible to correct any possible mistakes or needed voids. All campus dining venues will accept meal plans/meal exchange, Flex Dollars, declining balance, cash, check, credit and debit. Since there are no summer session meal plans, meal plans/meal exhange and Flex Dollars are not available during the summer. All transactions are for the amount of sale only. Dining Serices cannot give cash back for check, credit or debit purchases. We cannot cash checks.
