Does developing XBRL GL take away resources from developing XBRL more broadly?
With an initial vision of the integration of the Business Reporting Supply Chain, it is intuitive that the development of the Global Ledger Framework is a necessary part of the development of XBRL as a whole. However, XBRL GL is different than end reporting, and in particular financial reporting. As such, the demands of XBRL GL are sometimes in conflict with optimizing XBRL around financial reporting.
