Democracy was not designed to balance moral profitablity with immoral redistribution of wealth. Not all profits are made immorally. If Ford had not made profits, he could not have been the first employer in history to pay $5/day, a great sum of money back then. Democracy was designed to prevent power from getting into the hands of a few power-mongers.
