Does deforestation cause thinning of the ozone layer?

I don’t think deforestation has anything to do with the ozone layer – it was CFCs that have thinned it. They are really restricted, now, but I suppose there are still plenty of air conditioners and refrigeratorss leaking CFC’s in landfills, and I think the substitute products are still CFC’s, only somewhat less reactive with ozone (but not sure about that). Forests are “carbon sinks” so for every tree you have, that’s quite a bit of carbon that isn’t in the atmosphere. Oceans are another big carbon sink.
