Does Cymer sell to other industries besides the semiconductor industry?
At this time, Cymer sells only to the semiconductor industry. However, in mid-2005, Cymer and Carl Zeiss SMT AG entered a joint venture and established another company, called TCZ (which stands for Team Cymer Zeiss), that is developing a process tool for the flat panel display manufacturing industry. TCZ has conducted numerous demonstrations for customers on its first production tool, the TCZ 900X, and customer reaction has been positive.
