Cutting down trees in itself doesn’t cause pollution. Trees absorb C02 and release oxygen, so when it’s cut down, it doesn’t pollute- at least not right away. As the tree decays, it releases the C02 it has stored back into the atmosphere, inevitably causing pollution.
