Colorado Technical University supports the philosophy that related courses, demonstrated proficiencies and life experience knowledge may be used to satisfy some course credit requirements. Credit granted for past experience, training, certification and testing may reduce the time required to obtain a degree. Students and agencies providing financial assistance (if required) are notified if a shorter program is possible. Up to two related Master’s level courses may be transferred. Upon receipt of all official documents and transcripts, all college-level course work from accredited colleges or universities is evaluated for transfer credit by an Academic Dean. Courses from non-accredited institutions or from vocational institutions are reviewed on a course-by course basis. Transfer credit is not awarded for courses that are numbered below 100, remedial by definition of the transferring institution or equivalent to remedial courses taught at CTU.
