Does CrypKey support distribution via CD-ROM?
Yes. CrypKey can be utilized whether you install your executable from a CD-ROM to your hard drive or your executable remains resident on the CD-ROM. In the latter case, the problem that arises concerns the inability of CrypKey to write its license files, created dynamically, to the CD-ROM, which is read-only. Circumvent this issue by storing CrypKey license files on your hard drive. CrypKey stores license files where you specify. In a network license situation, rather than downloading a large program across the network when it runs, install the program on the target machine, and ensure only the license resides on the server.
