Does Council’s Development Control Plan no.1 require the installation of a rainwater tank?
Councils Development Control Plan (DCP) No.1, Part 2.5.4, requires all new dwellings to manage stormwater discharge from at least 90% of the hard surfaces on the site (a ‘Site Discharge Index’ of 0.1.) One way of managing stormwater discharge from roofs is to capture the water in a tank for re-use, using the tank size recommended in DCP No.1.
