No, not directly. There are no cost factors or calculations for increased base operations support to units moving on to an existing installation. COST does calculate a cost for Infrastructure, which is generated by selecting one of the infrastructure types available for the destination location. The model will generate a cost per person based on the infrastructure type. The model default is contractor provided tent housing and that costs $4,742 per person. Service provided support is $11,681 per person Contractor provided semi-permanent housing is $7,500 per person Organic support and host nation support are free. If one of these rates is close to the increase in base operations costs, it will be fine to use it. If not, it is best to select organic support (no cost) and then enter the cost as an other unit cost.
