Does Cookson still allow volunteers to become full-time residents?
At one time, retirees were invited to come to Cookson and serve on a volunteer basis as permanent residents of the community. These on-campus grandparents provided much needed services and were instrumental in making Cookson what it is today. As more of our staff stayed here until retirement, we began producing our own grandparents. While we are not looking for folks to move here in their retirement, we will consider hiring “retirement age” Christians to fill certain needed positions in the ministry.
