Does Converse require a health insurance plan?
Yes, Converse College believes it is essential that all students be protected against unexpected accidents or illnesses. The health insurance plan is offered by Markel Insurance Company. The cost of the plan is $185 annually and is included on the tuition bill. All full-time domestic students are required to participate in this plan unless they submit a waiver form (pdf format) indicating that other insurance coverage is in effect. All full-time international students are required to participate in the accident and health insurance plan.
