Does Concrete Staining Result in Uniform Color?
Concrete staining will not result in uniform color if your using acid based stains. Acid based stains chemically react with the cementitious material to produce color. Since there is alot of variation throughout the surface of concrete, these variations will be visible after staining which produces a mottled or variegated look. Acrylic concrete stains act like a dye and produce a look more uniform than that of acid stains but will not mask variations that are already visible on the surface. The only thing that would be completely uniform is paint. Concrete staining is transparent coloring which results in beauty and uniqueness for every surface.
