Does Concordia have an athletics program?
Yes! Concordia’s athletes compete with teams from universities and colleges in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC); winners from the ACAC then compete in the national championships at the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) level. We continue to build strong programs in men’s and women’s badminton, basketball, cross-country running, curling, golf, soccer, swimming, and in men’s hockey. In 2004-2005, Concordia athletes won two gold medals, three silver medals, and four bronze medals at the ACAC championships and two CCAA gold medals. You’ll also enjoy the Ralph King Athletic Centre, built in 1997 and home to our basketball and badminton teams, with a fitness facility that’s open to all students.
