Does computer-training enrollment wax and wane with economic or political trends?
In general, when the economy hits a low point, training typically increases, as this situation presents opportunities for some employees to seek different careers. However, enrollment in computer training tends to be pretty consistent, as it is a career that is integrated in almost every other industry. Q: Does YTI use the workforce needs of regional companies when deciding which new programs to add? A: New courses and programs are primarily determined through regular curriculum reviews by our advisory board, which meets twice a year; the review of industry trends by faculty; and also through the feedback from current and former students who keep us posted on their experiences. We work to remain current on the workforce needs of regional business through the participation in numerous forums and seminars. Our Career Services department has been a tremendous asset in this area through the employer relationships they establish and maintain. Q: Do students come to YTI with a good understan
