Does color sensing affect response time?
The color vision sensors are not as fast as all the other PresencePLUS vision sensors. This is due to the large amount of information processing required to look at a full color image. Essentially each pixel has three times the data associated with it (three 8-bit R, G, & B values instead of one 8-bit gray scale value). Once the overhead of gathering the color image is done, the Color Match tool runs relatively quickly (slightly slower than a similarly-sized Average Gray Scale tool).
