Does Cold-EEZE prevent colds?
Cold-EEZE is only approved as a cold remedy to be taken at the first sign of a cold. Cold-EEZE has been evaluated and shown interesting results in other cold related tests. In one study at The Heritage School in Provo, Utah, administrators gave adolescent students Cold-EEZE lozenges every day to see if they could reduce illness and absenteeism. They had three main findings about students who took zinc gluconate glycine lozenges on a daily basis: First, they decrease the duration of the common cold. Second, they decrease the use of antibiotics to manage colds. And third, they decrease the number of colds on campus. These results have not been confirmed in additional controlled studies.
