Does CM/ECF accept formats other than pdf, such as tiff?
No. CM/ECF accepts only documents in pdf (Portable Document Format). PDF was chosen because it is an open publishing standard, which preserves the authors document content and format. It allows documents filed and later retrieved, to display and print exactly as they looked to the original author. PDF can also be used with a variety of operating systems, which arent normally compatible, such as Windows and Macintosh. It can also be used with most common word processors and spreadsheets. Both searchable text documents and imaged documents can easily be converted into pdf format.
