Does Cisco ICM CallRouter support multiple Historical Data Servers?
A. One ICM CallRouter can support multiple Historical Data Servers (HDS). The historical data is replicated from an ICM Logger to an HDS through the client/server protocol. A replication server process runs on an ICM Logger and a peer replication client process runs on the HDS. Multiple HDSs increase the load of a Cisco ICM Logger. The limitation factor is the capacity of the ICM Logger platform. Unless you run Cisco ICM 4.6.2 with Hotfix Number 137 or later applied, it is not possible for an HDS to point to the different side of the ICM CallRouter without damage to all historical data that exists. Once an HDS is installed and points to one side of the ICM CallRouter, if the ICM setup is run later and points the HDS to the other side of the ICM CallRouter, there is a risk that all historical data previously stored can be lost on the HDS database.
