Does circumcision make the penis less sensitive?
Yes. In all cases, the remove of the foreskin causes the glans (head) of the penis to develop a protective callus, which permanently reduces penile sensation. The foreskin itself is a highly sensitive structure, with a larger number and variety of nerve receptors than any other part of the penis. Additionally, doctors performing circumcision often remove most of all of the frenulum, a highly sensitive ridge on skin on the underside of the penis. If you are a circumcised man with an intact frenulum, consider yourself lucky!
