Does Christianity allow cremation as a proper burial?

0

Most Christian denominations do allow it. The objection to creamation used to be based on the belief (whether based in fact or not) that destroying the human body was an atheist attempt to prevent God from raising their bodies from the dead. Most Christians who opt for creamation do so for economical purposes (about $800 for creamation versus $6000 for burial), and most Christians believe we’re getting new bodies anyway.

Cremation is more consistent with reincarnation. While it doesn’t take anything for God to reassemble the body from ashes, burial is more Biblical. In the long run though, I don’t think it matters.
