Webster defines salvation, as “the act of saving or delivering; preservation from destruction or calamity; redemption.” Everything I have talked to you about here has been for the purpose of salvation. The wonderful thing about Christian Science is that it offers you full salvation now. You attain it through spiritual understanding. This understanding can inspire, guide, sustain, protect, or deliver you in any circumstance or condition that seems oppressive. Spiritual understanding wakens, quickens, transforms, spiritualizes, and heals. This is salvation. How Can I Know Myself as a Son of God? Let’s turn to the Bible to get the answer. It tells us that God created man in God’s likeness and endowed him with dominion over all that is unlike God. Now the likeness of Spirit is spiritual, and, therefore, man must be spiritual; man cannot be material.
