Does chlorine have any ill-effect on white clothes when removing stains?
Chlorine may remove the stain, but be careful. Sometimes chlorine can damage (weaken or eat through) some materials, including cotton. This chance is reduced by putting the material in water (washing machine) immediately after putting the chlorine on the stain. Or by letting the washing machine fill up with water, then adding the chlorine.
