Does Children’s have a New Graduate Nursing Program?

0

Yes, our New Graduate Nursing Internship program is a one-year program to support new graduate nurses make the transition from student to professional nurse. The program is a mixture of lectures, clinical rotations and professional presentations (by the new nurse). This program is in conjunction with a three to six month one-on-one preceptorship on the new hire’s unit. Most of our units hire new graduate nurses for permanent jobs. The New Graduate Nurse Internship program is offered twice a year. The Winter Internship starts at the end of February and the Summer Internship starts at the end of August/ early September. Applications are accepted for posted positions in November and December of each year for the upcoming winter internship. Applications are accepted for posted positions starting in January for the upcoming Summer Internship. To apply for the internship program, look for a posted RN I or RN I/II position in the current openings section of the web site.
