Does chest waxing make the hair harder?
OK, let’s get this straight. Shaving any part of the body does not make the hair grow back faster or in greater amounts and nor does each hair grow any coarser. However, when you shave, what grows back out is blunt cut ends which are the thickness of the base of a hair and does not have soft tapered ends like hairs that have grown naturally from scratch. Therefore a re-growing shaved hair looks coarser than a re-growing waxed hair or one that has gwon out as part of the natural hair growth cycle. When you wax, you pull out the hairs by the root (the follicle) and this weakens the root which has 5 possible effects: 1. Some hair does not grow back at all. 2. Some of the hairs which grow back are finer 3. Some of the hairs which grow back are lighter in colour 4. Re-growth is slower 5. the hair is easier to pull out next time and therefore less painful. All these effects will increase the more times you get waxed but all the effects vary enormously from person to person and even on one pe
