Does Chelation Therapy Cure Autism?
Autism affects one in 150 births, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. (See Reference 1) Moreover, according to the U.S. Department of Education, autism is growing at a rate of 10 to 17 percent per year. (See Reference 1) There is no cure for autism, but treatment can significantly reduce the symptoms of autism. (See Reference 1) One of these treatments is chelation therapy, which works to eliminate the toxic metals (most notably mercury) which some people believe causes autism.
