Does changing the Autopip middle-factors sliders change the 50% pre-determination?

The default is set to a curve bending of -30 for upward and 30 for downward bending. The function behind the auto button tries to determine where in the histogram it should determine 50%, where 50% is an equal no. of pixels for dark and bright areas. So 50% is measured according to the scale in the histogram (the higher the bars the more pixels are seen by the scanner) for example if you have a histogram with very low bars near the highlight point and very high bars near the shadow point the middle triangle won’t sit in the middle of the histogram but near the shadow end, as the amount of pixels is higher on that end and thus you have an equal no. of pixels on either side of the middle triangle. In other words you cannot set 50%, but you can tell the Auto button how strong it should auto-correct an image.
