Does Changing Names provide single document Family Deed Polls?

0

No. For a number of reasons, some of which are shown below, we issue single person Deed Poll documents only for each adult and child. Children over the age of 16 when a Deed Poll is executed cannot be shown on a family Deed Poll. When a child reaches an age where he/she applies for a driving license or bank account, or requires evidence of name change for any other purpose, a family Deed Poll document continues to be acceptable evidence of his/her name change. It does mean however that the young person has to continue to use the family document; something they may well feel should not be necessary or even be embarrassed to do. When the young person leaves home they will not have a ‘personal’ Deed Poll to take with them and so will need at least one certified copy of the original family document anyway.
