Does certain medical conditins affect conception?

I recently had gallbladder surgery and I was wondering if my trouble with conception had anbything to do with the problems I was having prior to my surgery. Also about the same time my husband suffered with kidney stones. Could his having kidney stone interfere with conception and could having my gallbladder removed affect my chances of conceiving?
