“Cavalor Vitaflor 365 contains prebiotics and yeasts. Living yeasts support lactic acid using bacteria in the large intestine of the horse and may help to tolerate high starch diets. The risk for the incidence of colic may therefore be decreased. Yeasts improve the digestion of crude fibres, the absorption of minerals and the production and absorption of B-vitamins. Thus, a higher yield from the feed may be obtained when yeast are provided especially when fibre rich diets are fed. Prebiotic compounds like inulin are non-digestible feed ingredients that beneficially affect the animal by selectively stimulating the growth and/or activity of positive bacteria in the large intestine. Prebiotic administration helps to prevent upregulating of some bad or “”pathogenic”” bacteria. This may result in an improved gastrointestinal health and the immunity status of the animal.
