Does Carbonite store a copy of my encryption key?

0

By default, Carbonite keeps a copy of your encryption key so that you only need to remember your Carbonite password to restore your files to a new PC. When you first install Carbonite, you can choose to manage your own encryption key; however, we strongly recommend that you allow Carbonite to manage your key for you.
