Does Calsura affect the taste, smell, color or texture of food and beverages?
Calsura is odorless and flavorless. It has an excellent taste profile, having little or no impact on the sensory properties of many fortified foods and beverages. This is exemplified by the commercial products that currently use CCM for calcium fortification (Tropicana Pure Premium® Orange Juice; Gatorade Propel® Fitness Water; Cal-C® Enriched Beverage Blend). As with any mineral source, depending on the specific food product and the desired level of fortification there is of course a possibility of some effect on the organoleptic properties and this should be evaluated on a case by case basis.
