No. CALGON® Water Softener does not replace fabric softener. CALGON® counteracts water hardness minerals and is designed especially for laundering. Because of this water softening property, when water is conditioned with CALGON®, the effectiveness of cleaning and removing of soil, grease and grime is increased. To soften fabric, we recommend using CLING-FREE® Fabric softener Sheets.
