Does CA program staff provide guidelines or examples for press releases or public statements?
Vendors will receive a final copy of the test reports after IPAWS CA process is complete. At that point, the documents do not have any restrictions on further distribution by vendors.Vendors may also generate a press release or other communication about their participation in the program at their discretion. IPAWS CA program staff does not review or approve press releases. However, the following guidelines provide examples of statements that may assist you in the creation of press releases.Examples of appropriate statements: • The product has completed the IPAWS CA test. • A summary of the results, identified as such. • A quote from the report, identified as such. Examples of inappropriate statements: • The product has been certified by FEMA. • FEMA endorses our product. • The product is approved by the IPAWS CA program.
