Does buckwheat cause allergic reactions?
Buckwheat is a fruit not a grain. Hulls are generally considered hypo-allergenic – very few people have any type of allergic reaction to buckwheat. Estimates indicate that about 1 in six thousand people could experience an allergic reaction to buckwheat. We tell our customers that if they ever experience an allergic reaction to a buckwheat pillow they should stop using the pillow and return it for a full refund.
